I took this this afternoon, right after I got off the phone with Diane......lol. I was so excited when I saw the hummingbird........I ran into the house, Luther squawked like a maniac, Boo-Let just starred as I ran across the living room asking hubby "where's my digi?", then I tripped over a box I was packing and crashed to the floor. Boo-Let asked, "are you okay?" Hubby jumped up and started looking frantically..........why, when he just used it 30 minutes before. Anyway, found it on the couch, next to where he was sitting.....lol. I ran outside and the bird was gone. Rats!! I stood there for a minute, then here it came back again.......Yay!! Okay, you did read where it said FIRST TIME, right? I included arrows to make it easier to find the little hummer........lol.

Great shots Magnum! Hummingbirds love red cannas! We have a lot of trumpet vines and hineysuckle growing wild all over this area so we get large migrations of these little guys.

Great pictures Georgia! I know how hard it is to take pictures of these tiny creatures because their wings are beating so fast it tends to blur the picture. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!! :D Hahahaha, being totally excited at the same time turns me into a clutz too.....lol. I wish I knew how to properly work the 35mm, but I guess I will stick with the digi until I get better at it. :o

Great pics Georgia, I totally understand about trying to work the camera properly, ours has a zillion buttons and dials (bells and whistles) that I don't know what to do with them, besides snap the pic and hope it comes out.lol

lol no worries; I just do the best I can with my digi cam too; I could really use one of those telefoto lenses but jeez, the price for them gives ya a heart attack. lol
