This is Payton, one of my tame budgies (I have 3 other budgies)
Sometimes if he is in the mood, he'll stay on his back for a few minutes.

Here is a picture of him when he was only 2 months old (he is now about 6 months old)
(his colors are/were a tad bit brighter)

He would do this all of the time to tell me he wanted out. He is out all of the time, the little stinker! You'd think he'd need sleep!

Also, if anyone is interested...he is a "sky-blue yellow-faced spangle" I think he may be a "type 2" yellowface. He just started his first molt, so I'll find out soon.
