I have notice my lovebird mindy doesnt fly much at all. I normally clip her wings when she starts flying all over(she also is not as tame). But i have notice she hasnt been (at least not in front of me). Her wings have grown back and i got her to fly by telling her go go go when on my finger and near the cage(10-12 feet away). But this is the first time she hasnt flown all over the place when her wings grew back. Could it be she knows i will clip her? She is healthy iam sure of it but i cant figure this one out. Kaye if you have any input that would be great(you are the lovebird GURU). Mindy is smart but that smart would shock me. Thanks in advance
That's a little strange.. Perhaps she's taming down (or at least calming down, so she doesn't feel the need to freak out and fly a lot)? Or she doesn't really realize her wings have grown back already? Have you been letting her out of the cage more often or something? If you have, she's probably not got all that pent up energy.. That's really all I can think of if you're sure she's healthy.
(And thanks for the compliment. :D)

She is free all the time(except bed time). I leave her cage door open and let her be. She has become very tame. I will keep a close eye on her. Anytime kaye your help and advice i read here are allways helpfull. :D

An update on mindy's flying. Well she didn't fly but i kept telling her go go go. She flew and now goes all over.Oh boy i asked for it and got it! One thing she is so smart she kept flying over to my sink and normally she will do that for a bath(or rock her water dish in cage). But i left a dish out and she didn't want a bath. She kept doing it so i went over to her cage and there was poop in her water dish so i changed it and she drank and drank and drank. This is my first lovebird and boy iam in shock how smart mindy is. Are all lovebirds this smart? And if i would love to her a story on what other lovebirds have done. Kaye if you have input would love to hear about it(all others too).
