Anyone How Knows About Tiels?????

hey,
i have a cockatiel and so does my boyfriend. we have been keeping them at my house together for a few months but we want them to get attached to eachother.... so my question is.... is it bad to separate birds after they have been together for a month or two?

Hey mumoprincess,
from my experience in having cockatiels, it appears that they do not mind much if they are separated at a young age. Although they might be slightly disappointed at first, it will probably just lead to the bird becoming more attached to you the owner, so i would not worry about it too much

Hi, its not a great problem to split them as cockatiels do not pair for life like some other species.

Your tiel will soon get over the split.:)

I would have their cages where they can still see each other and yes I agree with everyone else..I do not see a problem in seperation here. Good luck!
