I just got two peachfaced lovebirds for my birthday along with cage toys perches food dishes but I am lost as to how to set up the cage. Where should the perches be placed? Toys? Nest? I am lost and would appreciate some feedback and/ or pictures to get me started.

Hello,
I would put the perches on opposite sides of the cage. Hang the nest up and hang all the toys up. Don't put too many toys in the cage ( I am at fault with that, I love to spoil my bird). Put the food dish next to a perch and the water I usually put either on the opposite so it doesn't spill into the food or I use I use a water feeder. I think this much better. Put some new paper in on the bottom throw the grate on and you should be set.

Some things to think about are, if you put anything lower than your tallest branch, it will get pooped on. Make sure the toys aren't completely out of reach. As for the food and water.

There are pictures there.
The one important thing is remember lovebirds like all birds need different types of branches to step on, they can't all just be dowels! Mine hates dowels, I just put sand paper on it and it is better now. It love manzanita branches and the booda rope perch.

Best of luck and hope this helps!
