Bullwinkle Says Hi!

Took these last night of the newly emerging Beast. Boy is he feeling good! You can see in this one how he keeps licking at his IV site. I keep wrapping it and he keeps taking it off. I'm going to talk to the vet to get some more of that stuff that can't be licked off.

Here is his scar. Looks great for only two weeks after surgery. I am putting Vitamin E oil on it so maybe he won't look like FrankenDane much longer.

His incision really does look awesome for only 2 weeks of healing Jo, great job and a round of applause to your vet for being such a wonderful vet, wish they were all like him.

Bullwinkle continues to get better and better as each day goes by. The surgery was such a complete success that even his doctors are surprised by his turn-around. He is in the upper 5% for the success rate of this particular spinal surgery. He gets re-evaluated in two weeks and from there we can maybe move on to some physical therapy to rebuild his hindquarter muscles. I am seriously thinking of doing the "Paws To Swim" hydrotherapy once he is able. Right now he is horseplaying with Rockie and he actually followed me into the bathroom today for the first time since this all started. I was actually getting used to having some privacy in the bathroom - LOL! I guess we are getting back to normal. What a relief! I have learned a very important thing...don't give up! Even when it seems hopeless.....
