My new little yorkie was rescued from a puppy mill where she was a breeder for years. We are not sure of her age, but she is NOT YOUNG...I would guess AT LEAST 7-8. Her skin is very dry and loose and she has some very itchy patches mostly in the folds of her upper legs. Can anyone give me some tips on foods or supplements that may help relieve this problem and also good remedies to help with the itching and broken, red skin. I am currently having to give her benedryl to keep her from scratching, but I hate to do this! She is on Advantage and I have seen NO FLEAS! Thanks for any help you may have!!

The poor pooch! She's so cute. I hope you get help for her soon. We don't kids with fur, just feathers and scales (Fids and skids).

What a doll!. She is so lucky to have found you. I would suggest taking her to the vet for a check up, they will help. You could also try "Missing Link". Its a dry powder you add to their food, you can find it at pet stores. Best of luck to you and please give her a big hug for us ;)
