This is what I use
http://www.xocom.com/fr/boxes.htm
you can get an idea on how to build your own from it as well if you wanted...
Make sure whatever you get you have rails inside that the pups can crawl under to avoid puppies getting squashed accidentally by their dam. Also put it up at least 2 weeks before the pups are due so the mama dog gets used to it. Make sure it is in a quiet area
What kind of pups are you having, when are they due

Has she been to the vet for a wellness check? I strongly advise this, plus they will be able to help you with her and give you direction on what to do incase anything should come up. Good luck and please keep us posted.

I agree def get her in for a wellness visit and talk to your vet. A lot of things can go wrong with both the mother and pups
Ok if you can't buy a dura whelp or make one call an a local shelter they may be able to help you out by renting/lending you something.
If worse comes to worse get a baby pool. The only thing is you will really have to watch that she doesn't step or roll on the pups with out the rails being around the side.
Please post if you need any further help. It is by no means easy to have and raise a healthy litter and it is very expensive with vet visits, worming and shots.
After she is done nursing I highly recommend you get her spayed so it doesn't happen again.

I talked with my vet and from what he can tell me about 10 to 15 days. she has started to lose her hair on her belly. she has been digging a hole in the back yard.
I called the animal shelter ans some of the pet stores and they don't have any whelping boxes in stock or don't carry them.
I could use all the help any one can give me.
thanks ladyreefer
