When we rescued the part siamese cat she was so tiny, she shouldn't have been taken from her mother and she was quite a dependent little thing. She could eat well (like a little horse actually) but she still wanted to drink mommy's milk. When we brought her home and she got used to the place some, she became quite attached to the Bichon dog we have. Well, the dog fell in love with Goofey (the cat) and they were quite a pair. Goofey would climb up on Snowball's (the dog) back and try to find milk in her hair. haha! Even though she never did, she tried for quite some time. The dog would put up with this and was quite nice about it, they are buds now.

Later on when Goofey got a little bit bigger, one day she was sitting on the couch contentedly and the dog was in the floor, just below her. The trash truck came, it scared Goofey and Goofey leaped off the couch and onto Snowball's back, Snowball jumped up and started running across the living room with Goofey riding her like a bronco. This went on for several feet across the room until Goofey started losing her balance and started sliding off Snowball's back. Snowball kept looking behind her trying to figure out what was up. I tell you it was hilarious. Finally Goofey was holding onto Snowballs neck with her paws and the dog was dragging her down the hallway till she finally fell off. I thought I was going to die laughing.

Another funny thing was that Snowball would carry Goofey around the house, like she was carrying puppies. At first I thought she was killing Goofey, but my husband said, geeze, didn't you ever see the dog carry her before, she does it all the time. LOL! These two are still happily residing here with us and will till the end of their days.

How hilarious! I wish I could have seen your cat "riding" the dog!

Welcome and great story! Our cat and dog are great buds also.
This morning I was getting ready for work and dog started barking from deck - next door neighbors GS was loose and on our property way in back. The cat had run up onto the deck and was sitting up on bench - watching our dog bark and sort of defend her. They really are protective of each other.

I want to hear more sweet and funny pet stories, or just funny.

Here's something-

I found out that Perky (lovebird) has a thing for kitchen cabinets and playing around with the dishes, cups thus making quite a racket with everything. I mentioned to the person that gave me Perky how near impossible it was to get her out of the kitchen cabinet last night. He informed me that she has loved to do this for many years. She orginally used to live in a kitchen. She had me laughing so hard because she was peepin' and squeakin' and I couldn't get her out of there. I was afraid she was going to break something and get hurt but apparently she's a little pro at it! It would make one funny video. Especially with me saying "Hey you little stinker, get over here, stop that, watch yourself and d'oh!"

Hi,
It sure is amazing how they can bond to one another and take care of each other like that! Sounds like Perky should be in the movies, maybe you could get it on America's funniest home videos. I saw a cockatiel on there once that could whistle an entire song and it was so funny! It was the tune to the Andy Griffith show. LOL!
