Pregnant Dog

I think my dog is pregnant. She was in heat 2 weeks ago and I think she got hooked up with a pom. Now she acts really funny. She barks more than usual protecting us and she wines alot. She's constantly drinking water more. How can I tell if my dog is pregant? Please Help? :confused:

You won't be able to tell , yourself, until 2 weeks before she is going to have the puppies. If you take her to the vet, he/she will be able to tell you for sure!

She could have an infection or other problem if she is drinking a lot of water, drinkning water doesn't mean she is pregnant.


FYI Pyometria is a deadly infection that females that are not spayed can get
Take her to the vet and I agree get her spayed.

If she is pregnant you need to take steps to make sure she and the pups are healthy. Having a litter is a lot of work and can be dangerous to both the mother and pups.

Vets can palpate, do x-rays and sonograms later on in pregnancy to see if there are pups. Right now it is way too early for that but there is bloodwork you can do earlier.
